Notes on early Mason families in Virginia, Kentucky, and Illinois, chiefly as taken from internet sites. The author's great great grandmother, Elsey Mason (1811-1857), married Joel Jackson (1809-1859). They had three children, 1842-1851. Elsey Mason Jackson died in St. Clair County, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Mason, who died in 1815 in St. Clair County; and Jane Million Mason (1765-1821), who was born in Stafford County, Virginia and the great granddaughter of Robert Million (1695-1773). This collection contains the author's notes on Elsie Mason and other Mason families found in her search for Elsie's parents.
