John McClung (ca. 1690-ca. 1788) was born in Ireland, the son of John? McClung (b. ca. 1660), a native of Scotland. John and his wife, Rebecca Stuart, lived on a farm in Rockbridge County, Virginia. They had ten children. Seven of John and rebecca McClung's sons settled in Greenbrier County, [West] Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, West Virginia and elsewhere,
