Christian Lantz, son of George and Catharine Wagamon Lantz and descendant of Johannes Lantz, was born 22 April 1811. "The family moved from the Lietersburg District, Maryland to Antrim Twp., in Franklin Co., Penn., near Upton where they engaged in farming."--P. 50. He married Lydia Raby (1815-1882) on 14 May 1835 probably in Green Castle, Penn. In about 1846 Christian moved his family to Bridgewater, Virginia. Christian died in 1876 at Bridgewater. Lydia Raby Lantz died 4 March 1882 in Upton, Franklin County, Pennsylvania while there visiting her brother. Both are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Bridgewater, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Oregon, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Utah, Nebraska, California, Colorado, Michigan, Indiana, Washington and elsewhere.
