Civil registers and church books containing births, marriages, and deaths (as well as occasional marriage proclamations) for localities in the historical German state of Hesse-Nassau. Today these localities are primarily in Hesse with some in Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia. The original records are all located in the Hessian State Archives Marburg, Germany.
