What Is in This Collection?

The collection consists of a name index NARA M616 to the compiled military service records for the Mexican War and compiled service records for the states of Mississippi, NARA M863; Pennsylvania, NARA M1028; Tennessee, NARA M638; Texas NARA M278; and Mormon Organizations NARA M351 located in the National Archives. The compiled service records are abstracts from original muster rolls and pay rolls and other records from the Mexican War, see rolls 42-43. The records are a part of Record Group 94 Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1780s-1917. Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future. Copies of compiled military service records may be acquired from the National Archives.
