Civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths within the custody of the Ancona Courthouse (Tribunale di Ancona). Includes ten-year indexes (indici decennali); residency records (cittadinanze); supplemental records (allegati); and marriage banns (pubblicazioni). Between 1862 and 1865, some Catholic Church records of baptisms, marriages and burials were returned to the civil registration officials as a way of recording vital events. Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality.
