What is in This Collection?

This collection includes indexes to births and deaths of British nationals in the Federal District of Mexico. The birth indexes date from 1854-1874 and the death indexes date from 1827-1926. If a British national was born or died while in Mexico, a relative could register the event with the British embassy or a consulate. This information was then recorded in British records.
