What Can these Records Tell Me?

This census forms contain the following information.

Column headings on the 1787 census in Danish and English

1	Byernes og Stædernes Navne, samt Familiernes Antal	Town and place names, along with the family's number
2	Personernes fulde Navne udi enhver Familie	The person's full name in each family
3	Hvad enhver Person er i udi Familien samt Børnene ere ægte eller uægte, af første, andet eller hvilket Egteskab	What each person is in the family, also if the children are legitimate or illegitimate, of first, second, or which marriage
4	Personernes Alder, det løbende Alders Aar iberegnet	The person's age, determined according to the age in the current year
5	Ugivt eller Givt, og hvorofte de have været i Egteskab eller Enkestand	Unmarried or married, and how often they have been married or widowed
6	Personernes Titel, Embede, Forretning, Haandværk eller Nærings-Vei	The person's title, office, business, craft or occupation
7	Summa paa Folketallet i hver Bye og Sogn, med videre	Sum of persons in each village and parish, etc.
