NARA series included in this collection are: (A3463) Records of Aliens Pre-Examined at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, 1923–1933, Prior to Admission; (A3414) Passenger Lists of Chinese Arrivals at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; (A3446) Lists of Chinese Passengers Arriving at Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, June 1929-January 1941; (A4188) Certificates of Identity Issued to U.S. Citizens Pre-Examined at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Who Entered the United States at Noyes, Minnesota, and Pembina, North Dakota, January 1929-July 1954.

What is in This Collection?

This collection contains records from five National Archives microfilm publications of aliens pre-examined prior to admission at the U.S.-Canada boarder, 1923-1933. The collection corresponds with NARA series A3463, A3414, A3446, A4188 and M2032 of arrivals at Vera Cruz, Mexico. Images are arranged alphabetically by surname and most often include such information as the aliens name, sex, age, birthplace, last permanent residence, etc.
