Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Cemetery Records, 1845 - 1970
This collection includes an internment card index, internment register, and day books for the Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for years 1845-1960. The card index indexed the internment register and the plot books. The number on the left side directly under the name is the number found in the interment register. The other numbers, example 8/63, 8-63/64 are the section number followed by the plot number(s). The internment register may be used as an index to the day books, however, not all persons appear in the day books. Those that do can be located on the date of death or burial or a day or two after that. The day book gives additional information of the deceased and may show family relationships.
