This collection is a list of obituaries and death notices published in the 1849 edition of The Quaker Annual Monitor. The list was compiled from the annual returns of the Society of Friends’ meeting houses throughout Great Britain and Ireland between 1847-1848.
The first issue of this publication was in 1814, for the year 1813, with the title The Annual Monitor and Memorandum Book. This continued for 29 issues until 1843 when the title was changed to The Annual Monitor. Publication continued until 1920. Quaker Records is an index to the 1814-1892 issues edited by Joseph J. Green,
