This collection was created from Church of England Bishop's transcripts (summaries of parish records) which were sent to the Diocesan Bishop throughout the year. The records are in the custody of the Borthwick Institute for Archives, University of York, and they cover baptisms, marriages, and burials from parishes throughout Yorkshire.
