This collection contains images and index to the 1835 census of Iceland. The official enumeration date was 2 February 1835. The forms used to collect the information were left over from the 1834 Denmark census of 18 February, so you will notice the printed date has been crossed out and overwritten on most forms. While the printed forms are in Danish, the information was written in Icelandic. Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future.
