This collection contains index & images to civil registration of births, marriages, and deaths. In 1929 the cities of Barmen, Cronenberg, Elberfeld, Ronsdorf, and Vohwinkel were merged to create the municipality of Barmen-Elberfeld. In January 1930 the name was changed to Wuppertal.
Records from the following localities are included in this collection: Elberfeld (Elberfeld stadtkreis); Ronsdorf (Lennep Kreis); Cronenberg, Vohwinkel (Mettmann Kreis); and Barmen, Langerfeld, Nächstebreck (Schwelm Kreis). Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future.
