Iowa, World War I Bonus Applications, 1922-1954

Applications made to the State Bonus Board of Iowa. The bonus was a monetary award to be paid to eligible veterans approved by voters in the general election in 1922. Files include the application forms submitted by living veterans or beneficiaries of deceased veterans and supporting documentation such as certificates of identification, vital records, and other correspondence. Only the applications were indexed by FamilySearch. More information is found on the documents than what is indexed.
