What is in This Collection?

This collection contains church census records of the Chinese population in the Philippines from 1786-1901. These records can contain names of most of the members of the household, age, marital status, occupation, place, birth date, marriage date, etc. A large portion of the records are from the Metro Manila area but other localities within the Philippines are included. These records a part of a series belonging to the Administración Central de Impuestos (Central Tax Administration). Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future.
