History

Originally called Örebro parish, it had its beginnings in the second half the 1200s acording to oral tradition written down in the 1600s. Located in the center of the city of Örebro, the parish church is named for Saint Nikolai. This was the only parish in the city until 1900 when Olaus Petri parish was created.
