Parish History

CLEHONGER (All Saints), is a parish, in the hundred of Webtree, and the union and county of Hereford (3½ miles (W. S. W.) from Hereford). [1]

Clehonger All Saints is an Ancient parish; the church dates from the 12th century and was restored both in the 19th century and 1956. It is designated by English heritage as a grade I listed building British listed building

The village and civil parish is just over four miles south of Hereford and includes the Abbey Church of St Michael and All Angels, a Roman Catholic Benedictine Priory and monastery established about 1854 The Abbey Church has been designated a grade II* listed building by English Heritage British listed building
