United States Maine Piscataquis Elliottsville
Elliottsville is an extinct town, and extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the Northeast Piscataquis townships in Piscataquis County, Maine. The town was created from Township 8, Eighth Range North of Waldo Patent (T8 R8 NWP) in 1835. Elliottsville annexed the land of Wilson (T9 R9 NWP) in 1849. Elliottville's incorporation was surrendered and its status was changed to unorganized territory in 1858. Later, this Elliottsville Township was organized into a plantation in 1860, 1886, and 1895. The plantation organization was surrendered in 1983, and since then it has been unorganized territory.
