In this project, batches frequently include two documents on separate images that are about the same birth; often one document is handwritten, and one is typed. Unless the images themselves (not the content of the documents) are exact duplicates, the documents on separate images should be indexed as separate records. Click here for an example.

When married surnames and maiden surnames were both recorded, they should both be entered in the Surname field, with maiden surname entered before the married surname. The mother's name was often recorded twice on these documents, with the maiden name in one case and the married surname in the other case, so be sure to check the document thoroughly when indexing the mother's name.
