Back to Sweden

Fröjel lies on the island of Gotland's west coast covering 37.4 square kilometers with a population in the 1880s of 634. The parish is actually an annex to Klinte parish. Because of the coastal location, many of the people were seamen.

Somewhat hilly land is primarily covered with pine trees with occasional limestone outcroppings. There was a brickyard at Mulde.
