Group or Family Work Shops are by appointments only (English and Spanish)

Staff Training Meetings: Every Quarter on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM

Collections

  • FamilySearch Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films available through the FamilySearch Catalog.
  • The Center has a complete catalog of books, pamphlets, maps of the local area.
  • The Staff is Trained and willing to assist any patron who is just starting their family history, needing help with research assistance, or ordering microfilm.
  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. Example: Institutional Ancestry.com, Newspapers, MyHeritage and many more)

Hardware and Equipment

  • There are Six Computer station for Patron use
  • We have a microfilm reader/printer as well as 3 microfilm readers.
  • We have a copy machine that allows you to scan your memories (pictures or documents) directly into your Family Search account.

Center Services

Staff Research Specialties

Many of our Staff are seasoned professionals who have knowledge on how to find ancestors in other countries (Sweden, Germany, Italy) as well as Indiana and surrounding areas. We also have a Spanish speaking Staff member available by appointment.

All research assistance and use of the Center is Free to our Patrons.

Our Staff serve at local family history chapters in the area to bring new ideas and sources to assist our patrons
