What is in the Collection?
This is a collection of civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths within the custody of the State Archive of L'Aquila for the years 1809-1865, and 1911-1943. The records included in this collection coincide with the modern-day provinces of L'Aquila and Rieti.

- Miscellaneous records (atti diversi), etc.
These records are written in Italian.
Whenever possible, FamilySearch makes images available for all users. However, ultimate rights to view images on our website are granted by the record custodians. Italian Data Privacy rules prohibit making certain records publicly available for viewing. This includes birth records under 110 years old, and marriage or death records under 70 years old. The Italy, L'Aquila, Civil Registration, State Archive collection is available to the Family History Library, FamilySearch Centers, and to members of the supporting organizations. Search the collection by image comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine if the image relates to them. You may need to look at several images and compare the information about the individuals listed in those images to your ancestors to make this determination.
