United States Maine Somerset Lexington
Lexington is an extinct town and extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the Central Somerset townships in Somerset County. The town of Lexington was organized from Township 2, First Range of Bingham's Kennebec Purchase, West of Kennebec River (T2 R1 BKP WKR) in 1833. In 1885 Lexington surrendered its status as a town to become a plantation. The plantation status was surrendered in 1939, and since then it has remained an unorganized territory.
