In 2015 the name of this centre was changed from Londonderry Northern Ireland FHC to Foyle Northern Ireland FHC.

  • FamilySearch Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the FamilySearch Catalog.

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Centre Portal page which gives free access in the centre to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. Examples of free access to websites are:

Hardware and Equipment

  • 6 Microfilm Readers
  • Several computers which have free access to subscription based Internet web sites as noted above and British newspapers online which include 'The Newsletter' and old Belfast newspapers dating back to 1800.
  • Lasjet & Inkjet colour printers, copiers, scanners and fax machine.
  • Webcam to take and print or email pictures of microfilm records.
  • DB-Tech 35mm Film Slide and Negative Scanner - Film to Digital Image Converter - with 2.4-Inch LCD and TV-Out
