Known Issues

NOTE: Most missing records are available on microfilm and can be viewed at the Family History Library or some FamilySearch Centers.

Question #1: Some indexed records have been attributed to the wrong locality or with incorrect dates. How can I determine the correct marriage information?
Answer #1: The event place and date can be checked on original town or county records or the microfilm of such records, when available.
The following is a list of known problems relating to incorrect indexing information:

  • All of the marriage dates associated with Batch I00949-5 and Film 843957 are death dates. This can be confirmed by searching for the same person in the Massachusetts, Deaths, 1841-1915 collection and viewing the image of the actual death record.
  • Records associated with Batch I09671-7 and Film 482918 are correctly listed with an Event Place: Goshen, Sullivan, New Hampshire.

  • If searching a specific collection: please include the name of the collection; include all search criteria used, including name, event, dates and places.
  • If you are reporting a technical issue: please include your operating system and browser version, such as Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
