  • 1st Regiment, New Jersey Cavalry
    Organized at Trenton, New Jersey, August 14, 1861, as Halsted's Cavalry.
    Company F mustered out at Washington, May 25, 1865.
    The rest of the regiment mustered out at Cloud's Hills, Virginia, July 24, 1865.
  • 3rd Regiment, New Jersey Cavalry
    Organized at Camp Bayard, Trenton, New Jersey, and mustered in at different times, starting January 26 through March 24, 1864.
    Mustered out at Washington D.C. August 1, 1865
  • 5th Regiment, New Jersey Cavalry
    Organized at Camp Olden, Trenton, New Jersey, and mustered in August 22, 1861.
    Regiment lost during service 12 Officers and 126 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 85 Enlisted men by disease. Total 223.
  • 7th Regiment, New Jersey Cavalry
    Organized at Camp Olden, Trenton, New Jersey, and mustered in September 3, 1861.
    Duty at Washington, D. C., until July. Mustered out July 17, 1865. Non-Veterans mustered out at Trenton October 7, 1864.
