Known Issues

Question #1: I am finding records outside the date range shown for this collection. Are there more records than what is shown?
Answer #1: The record description for this collection states: “This index is an electronic index for the years 1821 to 1962. It is not necessarily intended to index any specific set of records. This index is not complete for any particular place or region.” Because of this it is difficult to determine the exact dates of the records. The year range represents most of the records. A few records may be earlier or later

Question #2: I found an ancestor in Holmes County that appears to have the wrong parents indexed. Can you help me with this?
Answer #2: There are instances in Monroe, Holmes, Ohio where there were loose pages in a book that were not filmed in order because of the misplacement of the pages. An instance would be from Film # 477154 that shows pages 19-21. Because they were filmed out of order, some of the parents listed could be incorrect. If the names seem inconsistent you may want to check other sources to verify parent’s names.
