History

Originally called Dalsby fjärding, then called 1638 Säter, then from 1642 - 1951 it was called Säters Landsförsamling. In 1636 this parish was created from Stora Tuna. On May 8, 1642 Säters stadsförsamling was created from this parish. On January 1, 1952 this parish was combined with Säter.
