SILSDEN, a chapelry, in the parish of Kildwick, union of Keighley, E. division of the wapentake of Staincliffe and Ewcross, W. riding of York, 4 miles (N. by W.) from Keighley. There are places of worship for Primitive Methodists and Wesleyans.
