Couple of pointers in section 1.4

There are 96 French Departements, not 95 (the numbering runs 1-95, but the former Departement 20 - Corsica - is now two departements.

Unless you have cities in the US with populations in single figures, the comment that communes are equivalent to cities is rather misleading. The commune where my mother lives has a population of 400-odd, no-one would call it anything more than a village, but it has a mayor and a conseil municipale. --CIFHS 14:31, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
