Talk:Ontario Births and Baptisms (FamilySearch Historical Records)
I would like to see details as to why the outdated template was attached to this article.

I'm pretty sure it is not accurate to say that this database contains any records "...derived from compiled and original records such as: Family Records..." and "They were submitted by private individuals to the LDS Church and as such are part of the IGI resulting in their inclusion in this index."
If I understand the way the legacy collections were published, user-submitted records are separate. Any HRC article that includes the block of text that begins "This database is an electronic database of information..." has the same accuracy issue. Lise 19:33, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- All of the Vital Records Index articles are being rewritten to remove information that is no longer correct. We are working on these as quickly as possible. TimothyNB
- You're doing great! This is a much better, more useful article now. One more question. All the legacy collections I've used have included the FHL Film number in the index entry. If the film number is available, I would think that would be a more straight-forward way of determining the origin of the record, right? It seems to me that the explanation about noting the FHL film number should precede, not follow, the info about the batch number, possibly? Lise 11:35, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
