Talk:Zuid-Holland Civil Records

Yet another duplicate of Netherlands, Zuid-Holland Province Civil Registration (FamilySearch Historical Records). Its probably best to delete these rather than redirect.

I disagree.  In looking at this article and the Netherlands, Zuide-Holland Province Civil Registration side by side, the Zuid-Holland Civil Records provide research tips to patrons of what to look for and how to utilize the records.  There are no tips attached to the digitized records.  Part of research wiki access to records is to help patrons maximize use of repositories and/or records.  I would merge this page with the Civil Registration document.  CIrwin 20:48, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

I agree with Caroline, since the purpose of the wiki is to help patrons learn to research, why would we delete a record that contains tips on using a specific record? I feel they should be merged.RLong 20:57, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello again.  I looked at the historical record article.  I see now that IF patron knew to click on blue words that say "Learn More" they would see the Zuid-Holland Civil Records information.  The problem I see is that novice researcher would not know to click "Learn More" especially if they are of the mind set that they don't see why they should click on the blue words.  On the Zuid-Holland Civil Records page, I left a note visible to the researcher as to where to go and what to do with the "Learn More" words.  Hope it helps wiki users.  [[User:Saguache214|CIrwin]21:13, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
