TIMPERLEY, a township, in the parish of Bowdon, union of Altrincham, hundred of Bucklow, N. division of the county of Chester, 1¾ mile (N. E. by E.) from Altrincham.

Timperley was built in 1849 as a chapel to Bowdon: St. Mary, becoming a Parish 1852.
