History

Births at the Akademiska sjukhuset 1816-1899 were recorded in a certain birth book within the hospitals archive. Between 1900-1946 another certain book within the parish record collection was used. It's unclear how the births at the Uppsala private hospitals and maternity wards up to 1927 were recorded. Between 1846-1948 a certain book was used (comparable to a födelsebok 1930-1947) for the länsfängelset that is in the Uppsala landsarkiv.
