From FamilySearch Wiki

I started researching my family ancestors and history over a year ago.  During this journey I have learned so much about the history of my family.  In doing research I have connected with family that I did not know about.  We have shared information and this continues to be a learning experience.  I have also helped others locate information about their family as well.

I have been involved in community and civic organizations for over 20 years as a volunteer.  Serving as a member to officer roles and webmaster within those organizations.  Volunteering has always been my passion.  That has lead me to indexing over 2,000 records to date for the past several months for FamilySearch, helping others locate headstones of their ancestors in my local cemetery through Find A Grave and photographing headstones for Find A Grave where memorials have been created but no picture for the memorial has been uploaded.  I am now researching information for all Virginia Cemeteries and putting that information on the Wiki.

I have always believed that if everyone would give just an hour a day to something they have a passion for, we can make this world a better place.
