Graduated from Brigham Young University, in April 2009, with a BA in Family History/Genealogy, emphasizing in Scandinavian and Germanic research. While a student, I interned at the Family History Library and recieved training, on both the Nordic and European counters, in research strategies and tools used for genealogical research in those areas. After graduation, I was hired as a temporary employee for the Scandinavian team at the Family History Library in May 2009. The two main tasks for this job were working at the Scandinavian counter helping patients, and building the Copenhagen wiki page.
I have also worked as an extractionist, checker and auditor for the book series, German Immigrants in American Church Records by Dr. Roger P. Minert (specifically for the Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois volumes).I speak Danish, which skill was learned at BYU. On July 15, 2009 I leave to serve a mission for the LDS church in Copenhagen, and will return early 2011.
