My Support Schedule and Duties


  • Tues 2-5
  • Weds 2-5
  • Fri 11-2
  • Sat 11-2



  1. New pages
    Ensure new pages are within the wiki's scope:
    1. Go to the New Pages report.
    2. See the instructions for patrolling.
    3. Remember the following:
      • Patrol all namespaces. Select "all" from the dropdown and click Go.
      • On Talk pages, mark questions or comments that need answers or discussion with the {{helpme}} template.  (You do not need to worry about marking Indexing or Historical Records questions on talk pages. But still patrol them.)
  2. Recent changes
    Look at Talk pages for patrons' questions that we can answer:
    1. Go to the Recent Changes report.
    2. See the instructions for patrolling.
    3. Remember the following:
      • Select to view 500 results (keep Namespace selected "all")
      • Search just for the Talk pages to patrol.

Answer Patron Questions

  1. Contributor Help Forum - ensure questions get answered. Often they will be answered by the community.
  2. Amdocs (CSMs only) - answer emails in both areas:
    • Wiki Support
    • Image Approval (Also make recommendations for individuals to be given Reviewer rights)

Major Project

Wiki Trainers

  • Send invitation to each U.S. Family History Center to attend an introduction for Wiki Trainers.
  • Teach Introduction for Wiki Trainers classes to those who can attend.
  • Send instructions for watching recorded session of Wiki Trainers class to those who can not attend.
  • Make follow-up contact to those who have attended or watched recording to see how we can help them get going.
