I am at a stand still as to where my G-Grandfather immigrated from in Germany. His name is Vinson (Vincent) Walters and he was born in 1849. The census records indicate that he is from Germany but no town is given.

He was married in 1872 to Mary Jane Buffington of Ohio and had the following children:

Adam Baltzar Walters- B. 1872 Lawrence Co, Ohio Kathy W. b. in 1874 Marr. Ernie Grimes Charles E. b. 1876 Effie A. b. 1878 marr. Simon Addis LuLu b. 1880 Jake Vintz b. 1884 Joseph b. 1886 Minnie May b. 1889 marr. Earl Addis

Father of Mary Jane is Joseph Buffington

Any information, pictures, history etc. please let me know or

Gene Walters- I come from Adam Baltzar line, father was Elza Paul Walters.

I have moved your query to your user talk page, but you might want to consider posting it in the forums as it is likely to be seen by more people there. --Steve 06:07, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello Gene Walters and Nancy Alice Walters - In working on wiki research maintenance, I came across your Vinson Walters [1849-] question.  I share Germany as an ancestral country and, therefore, am interested in Germanic records both in America and Europe.  In wiki research we have an excellent document that could provide you with ideas as to where to look for records to indicate German origins I have found in American church records that, if you can locate the church where your ancestor worshipped at the time of death, and if said church worships in German, you are more likely to locate in the priest's handwriting the ancestral information searched for.  Lots of 'ifs', however, the American church burial records has held gems of information.
