DRAYTON, WEST, a chapelry, in the parish of East Markham, union of East Retford, South-Clay division of the wapentake of Bassetlaw, N. division of the county of Nottingham, 3 miles (N. W. by N.) from Tuxford. 
West Drayton St Paul was formed originally as a chapelry in East Markham, Nottinghamshire Ancient Parish and as an Ecclesiastical Parish from 1632.
