Brief History

Windham was chartered on October 22, 1795 by the Vermont State Legislature and was originally part of Londonderry. Windham attracted settlers early, and by the 1820's had over 1,000 residents, with over half a dozen villages and two post offices. By 1970, the population had dwindled to 150.  The population was 328 at the 2000 US census. [1][2]
