Known Issues

Question #1: A number of marriages are indexed with the marriage registration date listed as the marriage date. How can I find the actual marriage date of my ancestor?
Answer #1: Both marriage dates and marriage registration dates have been listed in the details as Marriage Date. Verifying actual marriage dates may be completed with the use of an additional source.

Question #2: Some Jackson County marriages are incorrectly indexed as Jefferson County marriages. How may I find the marriages that are actually from Jackson County, Wisconsin?
Answer #2: When searching for marriage records from Jackson or Jefferson County, check the source film number. Any record which lists film 1266681 as the source film is a marriage record from Jackson County. No records from Jefferson County are found on this film. This was an indexing error.
