This ancient parish (AP) was created before 1813. Church of England records began in 1598.
STILLINGFLEET (St. Helen), a parish, in the union of York, partly in the E. division of Ainsty wapentake, W. riding, but chiefly in the wapentake of Ouse and Derwent, E. riding of York; including the townships of Acaster-Selby and Kelfield, 7½ miles (S. by W.) from York. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans.
