Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.

Companies by County:
Company A - Many men from Huron and Pickaway Counties.
Company B - Many men from Muskingum County.
Company C - Many men from Columbiana, Erie and Sandusky Counties.
Company D - Many men from Adams County.
Company E -  Also known as "Buckeye Guards".  Many men from Dayton, Montgomery County.
Company F - Many men fromTrumbull County.
Company G - Many men from Huron County.
Company H - Many men from Cuyahoga County.
Company I - Many men from Hillsboro, Highland County.
Company K - Also known as "Givens Rangers".  Many men from Coshocton County.
