The term "HCP entry", seen as an occasional footnote in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints abstract of the 1880 U.S. census, refers to the Historical Census Project, a project begun at the University of Minnesota (Minnesota Population Center) in 1989 to create large, nationally representative samples of historical U.S. censuses, for use in various academic disciplines such as history, demography, and sociology.
