Because British railwaymen might work at places distant from their birth, their records may be hard to discover. I used a British researcher to follow up a place listed on my husband's relative's death certificate. He discovered two newspaper accounts.

The late Bob Rubie's papers indexes and collections were donated to the National Rail Museum Archive at York after his death.

Bob was a lifelong rail employee and union official who as an accredited genealogist offered a unique research service to those with railway ancestry.
