Broughton, Wrexham War Memorial
The Broughton War Memorial commemorates those local people who died in wars. Broughton is a community in the County Borough of Wrexham, in the north-east of Wales, and contains the villages of Brynteg, Caego, Lodge, Moss, New Broughton, Pentre Broughton and Southsea. The area was formerly heavily industrialised with rich and extensive deposits of coal, lead, and iron ore. The Moss Valley has now been reclaimed as a park.
The Broughton War Memorial, taking the form of a memorial gate, is in Brynteg and was unveiled in 1923.
