Civil War

Regiments. Service men in Carroll County, Kentucky Genealogy served in various regiments. Men often joined a company (within a regiment) that originated in their county. Listed below are companies that were specifically formed in Carroll County, Kentucky Genealogy:

- 14th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry (Confederate). Companies K and L.






Taxes were levied on free white males over 21 and slaves aged 21 to 60. These persons are referred to as "polls."
