County Courthouse

History

Davidson County now in Tennessee was created in 1783. Nashville (now the capital of Tennessee) became the county seat. This was a part of the territory ceded by North Carolina in 1789 to the federal government.

1822--Davidson County was created from Rowan County.  County seat: Lexington.
