What should I do when the will starts on one page, but the name does not appear until the next page on the same image -The name is indexed from the image where it appears. (It will generally indicate that this is a Last Will and Testament.) Please note that we can carry information from one page of the image to another page on the same image, but we do not carry information from image to image. Do not use previous or next images to gather information for the current image.
What should I do when the will starts on one page, which has a page number, but the name does not appear until the last page of the will on the next or later image? Say, on page 4 of the will, which is 2 images later in the same batch? - The name is indexed from the image where it appears. The goal is to get the researcher to the image that has the name on it. From there they can browse the will, no matter how many pages/images are involved.
This does NOT answer the question... Project Instructions say to index ONLY the first page of a will. If the name is on the 4th page of the will and 2 images after the first page then this instruction is in direct conflict with the Project Instructions.... and an Arbitrator will mark it as incorrect.
So, again... Project Instructions say to index ONLY the first page of a will... and to mark all additional pages of a will as No Extractable Data. Okay. Then what if the name ONLY appears on the 4th page of the will but on the third image... 2 pages after the first page of the will?
Project Instructions need to be updated to address the situation where the name does not appear on the first page of the will, AND if it appears on another page of the will and on the next or 2nd image later.
